Business Development Manager

Strengthen NPEC's infrastructure consultancy business — from opportunity identification through bid strategy to contract award — across highways, bridges, metro rail, railways, buildings, irrigation, airports, smart cities, PMC and Authority Engineer assignments.

What you will do

  • Identify, track and develop consultancy opportunities across highways (EPC, HAM, BOT, PPP, supervision and Authority Engineer), bridges, metro rail, railways, buildings, irrigation & water resources, airports, urban infrastructure, smart cities and PMC assignments.
  • Monitor the CPP Portal, GeM and state e-procurement portals.
  • Lead the complete bid cycle from opportunity identification to contract award.
  • Formulate JV / consortium strategies.
  • Coordinate with the technical, finance, HR and legal teams for proposal preparation.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and client meetings.
  • Develop long-term strategic growth plans for the consultancy business and ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management Systems.

What we are looking for

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • Experience in infrastructure consultancy business development, with exposure to DPR, detailed design, construction supervision, PMC, Authority Engineer and Independent Engineer assignments for government, PSU and multilateral-funded projects.
  • Proven experience bidding for assignments of NHAI, MoRTH, state PWDs, metro rail corporations, Indian Railways, irrigation & water resources departments and funding agencies.
  • A strong professional network among JV partners, domain experts and international associates.
  • Hands-on experience with the CPP Portal, GeM, state e-procurement / e-tender portals and e-Nivida systems; EOI / RFQ / RFP evaluation; Go / No-Go analysis; preparation of technical & financial proposals; JV and association agreements, MoUs and back-to-back agreements; QCBS / QBS procurement; consultancy contract conditions (FIDIC and government formats); fee estimation, financial modelling, man-month estimation, team structuring and resource planning; contract negotiations, risk assessment, client presentations and pre-bid meetings.
  • Strong government liaisoning, strategic market intelligence, pipeline development, proposal writing, analytical thinking and leadership of cross-functional bid teams.
  • Willingness to travel across India.

Good to have

  • MBA in Marketing, Business Development or Finance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel, Word & PowerPoint), Power BI, MS Project / Primavera, CRM tools and AI-assisted documentation.
